Black Girls Reading: A Writing Workshop

Avid Bookshop presents "Black Girls Reading: A Writing Workshop" on Saturday, November 11 from 11am - 12pm at our Prince Ave. location. This event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

This writing workshop is for any girl that is a writer, wants to be a writer, or loves to read! At the event, we will highlight black female authors that had important things to say, and attendees will be encouraged to start or continue their own pieces of writing. Local literary experts will be on hand to host and help out! The age range for attendance is 9 to 14 years of age, but we will not turn anyone away. This event is geared towards young women of color.

We'd like to thank Strong Girls for sponsoring this event!
