Sing Loud and Clear for the Community to Hear!

Tired of singing alone in the car, in the shower, or in other places
where no one else can hear? Join us for Community Sing! at the Athens Clarke County Library on Thursday, September 21, at 6:45 p.m. in the Appleton Auditorium. 

Athens Musician Maggie Hunter is hosting Community Sing! for family and friends of all ages to come and have a great time singing together! The program offers participants the opportunity to bond with others by singing freely with no vocal training or experience required.

"My intent is to emphasize the word 'community.' Nothing brings folks together like songs of unity, freedom and peace," explained Hunter. "My dream is to elevate our spirits and sing of hope for a better world. I think this could be a step in the right direction.  Lines of race, politics, gender, age, spirituality tend to disappear when hearts are open in song.  Brian and Natalie Smith of the Musicsmiths will be providing musical accompaniment. I hope to see and hear you there!"
