Shakespeare Under the Stars: Two Gentlemen of Verona

with a PREVIEW NIGHT June 14 at 8:00PM

Rose of Athens Theatre brings laughter and love to Jittery Joe's Roaster with Shakespeare's romance, Two Gentlemen of Verona. The company welcomes Jeremy L. Miller to the director's table. His theatrical career spans 20 years, working with a variety of theatre's across Georgia and in North Carolina. Jeremy skillfully guides the company through the bard's language and delivers romance and saucy comedy. Bring your family and friends to picnic, then enjoy the live music and Shakespeare's whirlwind romance. In addition to performances by local and professional actors, look out for appearances by Rose of Athens Theatre Academy students, as well. Two Gents follows the lovesick journey of Proteus, Julia, Valentine, and Silvia, add some cross-dressing with a dash of bad behavior from the servants, and it makes for a multitude of hilarious hijinks along the way. Join Rose of Athens Theatre for an evening of love, hilarity and mischief.

There will be a PREVIEW NIGHT on June 14 at 8:00 PM with a discounted ticket price of $5.00! That's the Bard's Bargain! Production dates are June 15-18 at 8:00 PM at Jittery Joe's Roaster-425 Barber Street Athens, GA. Ticket prices are $16.00 for adults, $12.00 for students, $8.00 for children 12 years old and younger. There will be pre-show activities for the little ones to enjoy. Seating will be limited at the stage, first come, first served. RoA encourages audience members to bring lawn chairs or blankets, a picnic, and a friend and enjoy some of the finer things in life with the company of Two Gentlemen of Verona.
