Oconee Farmer's Market

Vendors will bring vegetables for the table, plants for the garden, baked goods, jams, eggs from free-range chickens, steaks and other cuts of grass-fed beef, pastas, soaps, and dog biscuits. 

Market hours are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

North Third Street at Main Street is open this year, providing easy access to the large parking lot behind the Courthouse itself.

Support the farmers and other artisans from the community.

-Oconee County Library: Our friends at the Oconee County Library will be at the market this Saturday to read some books to the kids! Join us for some summer reading!

-Oconee County Animal Shelter: The animal shelter will be selling pottery mugs, pet dishes, pet treats, dog beds, and t-shirts. All proceeds will go to the shelter.

- Ann Simmons: green beans, potatoes, bell peppers, eggplants and cabbage, Chocolate Candy and peanut brittle

-Best Friends Biscuits: all natural, vegetarian dog treats

-Lattimore Acres: goat's milk soap

-Diana and Juan Rubin: pastas, salsas, raviolis, lasagna, eggplants (rollatini and parmigiana) and our gelato

-Sunshine Farm: Broccoli, butternut squash, cucumbers, green beans, peas, onions, sweet potatoes, zucchini, dried apples, jams and empanadas

-Gifford Argo: turnip greens, collards, green onions, tomatoes, squash and cabbage, preserves

-Sandra Bowden: Cakes, baked goods

-Wagon Wheel Ranch: 100%  grass fed, grass finished beef, pasture raised brown eggs

-Covenant Valley Farms: Local Honey, Sourwood Honey, grass-fed Angus beef, free-range eggs, handcrafted lip balms and lotion bars

-Mama Bird's Granola: Granola

-Autumn's and Ila's Creations: Cupcakes and cookies

-Paw Paw's Peanuts: Boiled peanuts, beef jerky

-Autumn's and Ila's Creations: Cupcakes and cookies

Entertainment: Art Grider

Art Grider plays tenor sax, and has enjoyed playing across the United States in various church bands. He has performed in the Athens, Georgia, area; at Emmanuel College in Royston, Georgia; the University of Georgia; the Blue Sky Concert Series on College Square; is a featured artist at Borders Bookstore along with ZamarAthens band; and at FARM 255 Restaurant and Bar. His major musical influences are Stan Getz, Joe Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Charlie Parker, and John Coltrane. In addition to his music, Art is also a professor of Nutritional Biochemistry at UGA and enjoys using his music as inspiration for his biochemical research. "...(He) knows his abstract jazz and tightly-wound funk like big carbon knows the two little oxygens, gloriously extended notes and all." (Michael Andrews- Flagpole)
