Star Spangled Classic Set for July 1 in Downtown Athens
 
The Star Spangled Classic is back!  This family friendly Independence Day celebration will take place Saturday, July 1 in Downtown Athens.
 
Activities begin at 5:00 p.m. and includes live music, children's activities, and food trucks.  The festival area is Washington Street (between Lumpkin & Jackson) and College Avenue (between Hancock & Broad).

The highlight of the evening will be a fabulous fireworks display scheduled for approximately 9:30 p.m. This event is free of charge. The community is invited to celebrate 241 years of American independence with this family friendly event in historic downtown.
