UGA EcoReach

Athens-Clarke County Library and UGA EcoReach present pathology program for teens, RESCHEDULED from 4/5/17

The Athens-Clarke County Library and UGA EcoReach will present an interactive program on pathology for teens on Thursday, April 13, at 4:30 p.m.

Teens will learn how diseases spread through a population and then play games based on what they learn! This program is free and is designed for teens ages 11 to 18.

UGA EcoReach is an all-volunteer organization through the University of Georgia's Odum School of Ecology. The purpose of EcoReach is to connect graduate, undergraduate, and professional ecologists at UGA with school-age children in order to heighten awareness of the science of ecology and environmental issues. By interacting with young people, they hope to raise awareness and enthusiasm for science, while supplementing the schools' curriculum to meet objectives in the state curriculum guidelines.

EcoReach also works with teachers to provide flexible programs designed to meet the needs of their students and presents programs to local scout groups, provides judges for science fairs, and presents programs at local science days.
