Tech Tips: Facebook – Beyond Friends

Athens-Clarke County Library presents Tech Tips: Facebook – Beyond Friends, February 16

If you've ever wanted to find out how to harness the power of Facebook, the Athens-Clarke County Library's program, "Tech Tips: Facebook – Beyond Friends," is for you! The free class will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Just about everybody has heard of Facebook. While most of us use this social media powerhouse daily  as a way to share our thoughts and catch up on our friends' and families' lives, that's just the tip of the iceberg! Les Shindelman leads this month's Tech Tips class and will explain how you can use Facebook to communicate among groups, organize events, manage photos, send messages and even obtain content from companies, news media and entertainers.

The presentation will also include information about settings to safeguard your privacy.

This class is free and open to the public and will take place in the library's Multipurpose Room A. For more information about this and other library programs, call the Athens-Clarke County Library at (706) 613-3650 or visit www.athenslibrary.org. The Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
