This inventive adaptation of a literary classic is about an orphan who endures a severe childhood before becoming a governess for the ward of Mr. Rochester. He awakens her long-buried passionate self, though his own secrets have been hidden for years.

Maestro Spano is on the podium as the ASO surveys a two-and-a-half century array of "Fire" works in this innovative program that includes Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, the "Magic Fire Music" from Wagner'sDie Walküre, Scriabin's Prometheus: The Poem of Fire, and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.

Designing History: Posters Exploring Twentieth Century Design Style & the UGA Special Collections Libraries Archives

Students in the class ADPR 3520: Graphic Communication will use the Special Collections Libraries as part of their study of 20th Century graphic design styles. The posters will feature people and topics from primary research in special collections.
Sponsored by the Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication. This project is part of the Special Collections Libraries Faculty Fellows Program, a joint effort of the UGA Libraries and the Center for Teaching and Learning to broaden the scope of fields using special collections materials in classes.
