Lickskillet Artist Market

The Lyndon House Arts Foundation (LHAF) will host the annual Lickskillet Artists Market and Festival on Saturday, October 22 from 10 AM - 4 PM at Lyndon House Arts Center located at 293 Hoyt St. This event is free and open to the public.

Currently in its seventh year, Lickskillet has become one of Athens' most unique and exciting events, drawing more than 1200 attendees from a ten county region. The Lickskillet Artists Market and Festival showcases the talents of over 100 local artists and musicians and offers a full range of activities for everyone.

Event highlights include:
• Athens area artists displaying and selling ceramics, clothing, glasswork, jewelry, paintings, photos, prints, sculpture, and woodwork.
• Musical performances by well-known local talent including The Heap, Monsoon, The Lucky Jones, Norma Rae, Clay Leverett, Dixieland 5, Qamar Tribal Odyssey dancers, Larry Forte, and David Court
• Self-guided tours of the historic Lyndon-Ware House.
• Children's activities, including building and design projects with Home Depot volunteers, cardboard village, chalk art, face painting, giant bubbles, and portrait gallery.
• Local food trucks and vendors including DaMunchiezz, Nedza's Waffles, Taza Mediterranean, and The Savory Spoon.

LHAF was created to advance the arts and support the development and operation of the Lyndon House. This is accomplished through a coalition of artists, businesses, local schools, government and the community at-large.
