Fire Up the Hydrant Unveiling

The fire hydrants are fired up! Come downtown on Saturday, October 8 to get the first look at 20 hydrants that have been turned into functional pieces of art by local artists.

Take the H2.O Water Walk, a 2-mile route that takes you past each hydrant in the project. Meet a few of the artists, take part in art activities, and see one of the Public Utility water trucks. Vote for your favorite hydrant. Enjoy some cake as we celebrate 80 years of drinking water delivery from the JG Beacham Drinking Water Treatment Plant.

The event takes place on College Ave, between Hancock Ave. and Washington St.
