The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present its annual "Scary, Oozy, Slimy Day" on Saturday, October 22 from 4-7 PM at Sandy Creek Nature Center

Families are invited to spend the afternoon at the Nature Center learning about the slippery, the slimy, and misunderstood creatures. There will be games, crafts, interactive activities, and the opportunity to see and touch live animals such as snakes and hissing cockroaches. Children are encouraged to wear costumes.

The fee is $3 for Athens-Clarke County residents and $5 for non-county residents. Children under the age of three are admitted free of charge. Online registration is underway. Bring a copy of the receipt to show at the admission table.

Sandy Creek Nature Center, located at 205 Old Commerce Road, is a facility of the Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services.
