Ocean Discovery Zone @ UGA Football Tailgate

At the Ocean Discovery Zone participants of all ages can explore the unique deepwater ecosystems of the Gulf of Mexico and learn about the importance of healthy ocean ecosystems. Participants can drive a model remotely-operated vehicle ("ROV") and learn about tools used by marine scientists to explore the ocean. This "Science at the Stadium" activity is presented by the Ecosystem Impacts of Oil and Gas Inputs to the Gulf (ECOGIG) program based in the UGA Department of Marine Sciences. The event will start 4 hours prior to kickoff. The Zone is located on the South Campus at UGA on Sanford Drive between the Myers Quad and Snelling Dining Hall.
