DrumminProgram

Want to make some music? Relax your mind and exercise your hands by joining a drum circle at the Athens-Clarke County Library on Thursday, May 26, at 12:15 p.m.

Circulation Supervisor Aleta Turner will lead the program. Turner is an accomplished drummer and has led several lively drumming sessions at the Library and around Athens. "Drumming in a group is a joyous and stress-relieving activity that anyone can do. I am excited to share the fun with others in our community," Turner said.

All ages are welcome, and no prior musical or drumming experience is necessary to attend. Hand drums and other percussion instruments will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own if they can.

This program will serve as May's Lunchtime Learning program. Participants should feel free to bring their lunch with them.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (706) 613-3650. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
