Athens-Clarke County Library offers class on GALILEO Genealogy Resources, March 29

The Athens-Clarke County Library's Heritage Room will host a class on using GALILEO for genealogical research on Tuesday, March 29, at 6:00 p.m. This class will explore the resources available to genealogists for free via GALILEO, an online library portal to authoritative, subscription-only information not available elsewhere. The databases covered will include Ancestry Library Edition, Fold3, HeritageQuest, the Sanborn maps and others.

Participants are strongly encouraged to have taken the Getting Started with Genealogy class at the library, or another introductory genealogy course, prior to attending. The class is free, but registration is required and can be completed through the online events calendar at http://athenslibrary.org/events/athens-clarke-county-library. For more information, please call the Heritage Room at (706) 613-3650, ext. 350. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
