Kendo at UGA to visit Athens-Clarke County Library

The Athens-Clarke County Library's Young Adult Department will host a special demonstration by Kendo at UGA at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.

Kendo is a genre of traditional Japanese martial arts also known as "The Way of the Sword." Practitioners of Kendo focus on mental and spiritual discipline in addition to physical skill as they practice Japanese swordsmanship.

The event at the library will feature demonstrations of Kendo skills and a question and answer session. This program is free and open to all ages.
