Catch the Gingerbread Man at the Athens-Clarke County Library, December 5

"Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!" The Gingerbread Man has escaped from his book and is hiding somewhere in the library!

Four to eight-year-olds and their caregivers are encouraged to come help find the Gingerbread Man on Saturday, December 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Athens-Clarke County Library Storyroom. A craft and cookies will be provided.

The Gingerbread Library will be a fun-filled storytime based on The Library Gingerbread Man by Dotti Enderle. This Dewey decimal twist on an old favorite chronicles the adventures of the Gingerbread Man as he travels through the library, carefully eluding a crowd of characters from each section of the Dewey decimal system. This clever and humorous tale provides a fantastic opportunity to teach children about the library.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the Children's Area or call (706) 613-3650, ext. 314. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
