The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host Home School Science programs this fall at Sandy Creek Nature Center.
Home School Science: "Forest Explorations" takes place Thursdays this fall from 10:00 a.m. – noon. Participants will learn all aspects of forestry, including forest ecosystems, tree identification and tools for the job. Space is available for the 13-18 year age range.
"Forest Ecosystems" is set for, September 17; followed by "Tree ID" on October 15; and "How to be a Forester" on November 20.
The program fee is $4 for Athens-Clarke County per student/per session and $6 for a non-Athens-Clarke County resident, per session. Registration is underway and required by the day before the class takes place.
