Introduction to Martial Arts Class at ACC Library

HIYA! The Athens-Clarke County Library will host an Introduction to Traditional Martial Arts Class on Thursday, August 27, at 12:15 p.m.  

Master Ken Blumreich will lead the class. Blumreich is the head instructor at AKF Athens Martial Arts. He earned his first-degree black belt in 1993 and has only excelled since.

The session will cover the historical origins of martial arts, as well as practical sell-defense techniques. Blumreich will demonstrate and teach a few traditional techniques to the class.

Attendees should wear comfortable, athletic clothing. The class is appropriate for all ages and skill levels; no previous martial arts experience is required!

Introduction to Traditional Martial Arts will serve as this month's Lunchtime Learning program. Drinks will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
