Oconee Chamber Scarecrow 5k & Obstacle Challenge

The Oconee Chamber of Commerce's annual Scarecrow 5k Road Race & Obstacle Challenge is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2015. It is presented by Athens Regional Health System and proceeds will benefit the Oconee Chamber's Education Foundation and the Oconee Food for Kids program.

The Scarecrow 5K is a popular event held in conjunction with our annual Oconee Chamber Fall Festival.  It will attract approximately 250 runners and walkers from around northeast Georgia. 

The race course has changed this year. It will begin at Watkinsville Memorial Baptist Church on Barnett Shoals Rd., and continue around the festival area and behind the Oconee Courthouse. We have added 3 Obstacle Challenges to the race. You can either run just the 5k or participate in the Obstacle Challenge and the 5k. Prizes will be awarded for both options. Race will conclude at the Oconee Chamber office.
