The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host a public input session regarding Southeast Clarke Park's World of Wonder (WOW) play space on Tuesday, June 30 from 6:30 – 8:00 PM at Whit Davis Elementary School at 1450 Whit Davis Road.
The Leisure Services Department is seeking public input on the design for the future location of the WOW play space. Citizens are encouraged to attend and provide input on the vision for this project. Children are encouraged to attend and will be participating in a concurrent visioning process.
The new play space will be constructed using funds from the 2011 SPLOST program's Park Facilities Improvements project. The original WOW play space, built in 2004 by volunteers using recycled lumber products, is at the end of its useful life.
