YWCO Kids Tri the Y Youth Triathlon

The YWCO Kids Tri the Y sponsored by Wells Fargo is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, 2015. Registration can be found HERE. The cost is $40 and registration includes a race bag with sponsor goodies, race t-shirt, finisher medal, race number, and access to the post-race party with music by Dawg Town Entertainment, a silent auction, food, inflatables and other fun. Participation is limited, so don't wait to register.

Distances:
Participants ages 6-15 can participate in the triathlon based on the age they are on race day. 6-8 year olds will swim 50 yards, bike 2 miles and run 600 yards. 9-11 year olds will swim 100 yards, bike 3 miles and run .9 mile. 12-15 year olds will swim 150 yards, bike 4 miles and run 1.3 miles. Downloadthe course map.

Age Rule:
We are NOT sanctioning the race with USA Triathlon this year so participants race the age they are on race day. A USAT one day or annual membership is not required.

Awards:
Awards will be given to the top (3) male and female athletes in each age group (6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15). We will also give awards for Courage and Sportsmanship which are handed out to athletes who demonstrate bravery, display an act of kindness, or overcome a challenge.

Weather Policy:
In the event of rain, the triathlon will proceed as planned. In the event of lightning, we will delay the start or progress of the event until the threat of lightning is gone. We will not reschedule the triathlon in the event of inclement weather.
