Read Across America

Oh, the Places You'll Go when you read! Join the Athens-Clarke County Library Children's staff for a special Dr. Seuss themed storytelling program as we get ready for the National Education Association's Read Across America day. The program will be on Saturday, February 28, at 2:30 p.m. in the Storyroom.

The NEA's "Read Across America" campaign is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading. The storytelling event revolves around the birthday of beloved children's author, Dr. Seuss, which is March 2.

The program is free and open to all ages. For more information about Read Across America, visit the NEA's website at http://www.nea.org/grants/886.htm. For information about this and other children's programs at the library, call the library's Children's Desk at (706) 613-3650, ext. 314. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
