Dawg Trot 5K for Scholarships

Dawg Trot 5K

Join hundreds of UGA alumni and friends for a scenic walk, jog or run across the University of Georgia's beautiful campus. One of Athens' largest 5Ks has become an annual tradition, providing an opportunity for Bulldogs from near and far to journey back to Athens.

This year, the UGA Alumni Association is proud to announce the Dawg Trot 5K for Scholarships will raise awareness and funds for need-based scholarships at UGA. Your participation ensures a bright future for students!

An official Run & See Georgia Grand Prix race, participants can use their Dawg Trot time to qualify for an earlier start time at the Peachtree Road Race and other races across the country. Awards will be presented in a number of categories, which are listed on the Dawg Trot Web page.

T-shirts will be given to participants who register before midnight on Thursday, March 12 and to walk-up registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. Refreshments will be provided after the race. Click here to view a map of the course.

Before and after (and perhaps during) your run, be sure to capture photos and tag them #DawgTrot. The UGA Alumni Association will be posting and sharing participants' content throughout the morning via Instagram and Twitter.

Strollers and wagons are allowed. For the safety of race participants and your pets, dogs are prohibited.
