Kids Bike Safety Event at the West Broad Farmers Market

This exciting, FREE Bike Rodeo is aimed at kids 5-12 years old. Kids will ride through a bike challenge course that teaches skills such as stopping and starting, riding in a straight line, avoiding obstacles, scanning and signaling turns, and intersection navigation games. All skills address the most common crash types for kids.

In addition, BikeAthens will have a helmet safety check station and will give away FREE helmets to kids who need them. Riders who complete the course will receive a round of applause, a colorful certificate of achievement, and more confidence on their bikes.

This is a drop-in event which takes about 30 minutes per rider. Be sure to bring your child's bike as we'll provide the instruction but not the bikes. We will bring a bike pump and tools to do seat adjustments. Our goal at the Bike Rodeo is to empower kids to become better, safer riders.
