Winter Puppet Show Week

The Athens-Clarke County Library's Children's Department is again ushering in winter with their annual Winter Puppet Show Week. Join the department during the week of Dec. 8 as they perform "Trouble with Trolls," which is based on Jan Brett's book of the same name.

Children of all ages are invited to join our golden-haired Norwegian heroine, Treva, in her quest to outsmart the mountain trolls, who are out to capture her dog for their very own. The trolls soon learn that they cannot simply take whatever they want, especially when it belongs to someone else. This wintry tale teaches respect for others' belongings while entertaining with bravery and compassion.

The puppet show performances replace all regularly scheduled storytimes, and will take place in the Appleton Auditorium. Show times are on Monday, December 8, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 9, and Wednesday, December 10, at 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, December 1,1 and Friday, December 12, at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
