Back to School Carnival

Who says the back-to-school season can't be just as fun as summer? Join the Athens-Clarke County Library's Teen Department for a Back to School Carnival on Saturday, September 6. Between 2 to 4 p.m., patrons are invited into the library's Multipurpose Rooms to play carnival games and eat popcorn. Athens students and parents will also learn about the various databases and resources that the library offers to local learners.

With over 200 computers in the building, as well as a wireless internet connection, the library's benefits expand far beyond a bookshelf. From e-books to practice SATs, the library has a multitude of resources for students. With a library card, patrons can access several databases including GALILEO and Learning Express Library. Patrons can also visit Georgia Download Destination for e-books and Zinio for digital issues of magazines, free with a library account.

The carnival is free and open to all ages. For more information, stop by the Teen Desk or call the department at (706) 613-3650 ext. 329. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
