Creative Writing Summer Camps for High-School Students

OCAF is happy to announce a series of Creative Writing Summer Camps for High-School Students:

 

June 14-17 (Tuesday �" Friday), 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Writing Camp: High School Poetry

Rising 9-12 grade

 

Join us in the writer's studio for a week of craft and creativity! You'll follow a structured sequence of writing assignments aimed at developing your aptitude and affinity for writing poetry as well as your personal voice.

 

June 20-23 (Monday �" Thursday), 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Writing Camp: High School Fiction

Rising 9-12 grade

 

 Let’s make a scene! Through games, guided readings, writing exercises, and one-on-one consultation sessions with the instructor, you’ll develop foundational skills and strategies for completing a riveting piece of prose.

 

July 5-8 (Tuesday �" Friday), 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Writing Camp: College Essay

Rising High School Seniors

 

Through a fun series of guided writing exercises and games, campers will spend this week contemplating their own values, goals, and accomplishments. They will also learn to express who they are, what they’ve achieved, and what they believe in. By the end of the class students will be able to articulate all of these in the college application process.
