60th Anniversary Tour of the Cedar Creek Water Reclamation Facility

Athens opened its first water reclamation facility (WRF) in 1962 along the North Oconee River. Now, the county has three water reclamation facilities. To celebrate 60 years of used water treatment, we're hosting a tour of the Cedar Creek WRF which treats water collected from the southeastern portion of Athens-Clarke County.

If you would like to meet Li'l Sheepastian, part of the dedicated chew crew that maintains the grass underneath the solar panels, please arrive at 11 AM.
