Movie at the Zoo at Bear Hollow Zoo

Let's go to the movies – at the Zoo! Watch a movie surrounded by hawks, owls, deer, opossums, oh my!

The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will host its inaugural "Movie at the Zoo" at Bear Hollow Zoo on Friday, July 18.

Gate opens at 8:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at dark. The featured film is the family favorite "The Lorax." The event will include movie-themed crafts and an animal encounter. Participants should bring blankets and/or lawn chairs. Insect repellent is recommended.

Tickets are required and cost $2 per person. Tickets may be purchased, starting Tuesday, July 1, at the Memorial Park office, Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Space is limited.

Concessions will be available for purchase including popcorn and soft drinks. Lil' Ice Cream Dude will be on site, too.
