Insectival!
The State Botanical Garden of Georgia at the University of Georgia will host the 22nd annual Insect-ival! Family Festival on Saturday, September 13, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Visitor Center and Conservatory.
Attendees can learn about different insects and their environment by playing games, completing discovery stations, watching roach races, looking into an active beehive and tasting a delicacy at the insect café. The popular butterfly release will take place at 11:00 am on the International Garden lawn. See dozens of native butterflies flutter above your head!
Ann Blum will be signing her new book, which is a compilation of puppet shows that she has written for Insectival.
Tickets are $5 per person or a maximum of $20 per family. Children under age two are free. Pre-registration is not required.
