Cooking Workshop for Adults at the ACC Library

Whether you are a beginner or more experienced cook, help the Athens-Clarke County Library welcome local cook Mary Songster on Saturday, June 28. Songster will demonstrate how to make a delicious, easy dinner using healthy food and locally grown vegetables during the "Cuisine Elements" Cooking Workshop from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in Multipurpose Room C.

The workshop is part of the 2014 "Literary Elements" Adult Summer Reading Program. Interested patrons who are at least 18-years-old must read at least three books or listen to three audiobooks (available through Georgia Download Destination) between Thursday, May 29, and Wednesday, July 30. Adults can fill out a Literary Elements contest entry form for every three books completed and submit the form to designated Literary Elements locations in the library or online by 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, to participate in summer drawings. More information on the Summer Reading Program can be found at www.athenslibrary.org/srp-2014.

This workshop is free, but registration is required. For more information or to register, please call (706) 613-3650, extension 356. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
