Star Spangled Classic at Georgia Square Mall (not Bishop Park)

Please note: This event was previously scheduled to be held in Bishop Park but has been moved to Georgia Square Mall.

The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government announced that the annual Independence Day celebration and fireworks display on July 4, 2014 will move from its previous location at Bishop Park to Georgia Square Mall. The move is taking place to support the continued commercial growth and revitalization of the Atlanta Highway business corridor.

The event will be similar to previous years' celebrations open to the public with family activities, food, and music with a fireworks presentation paid for by sponsors.
