"Get Connected" Program at Sandy Creek Nature Center


(ATHENS, GA) The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department will present "Get Connected" at Sandy Creek Nature Center on Saturday, January 26 from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.

Usually Nature Center staff encourages people to unplug to enjoy nature, but sometimes being plugged in can help you to be more connected with nature!  Attendees will learn about several apps and online programs that can be used to track wildlife sightings, identify what is being found outdoors and even track hiking distances! Bring a phone or iPad.

The program is for ages 13 and older.  The fee is $2 for ACC residents and $3 for non-residents.  Online registration is available at www.accgov.com/leisure by clicking on the "Nature" tab, under "adult programs," or registration is accepted at the door.
