Athens-Clarke County Library hosts Word Magic with David Oates

The Athens-Clarke County Library and Reflecting, Sharing, Learning invite you
to register for a free poetry writing workshop hosted by WUGA's David Oates.
Word Magic, a poetry workshop led by Oates will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
Aug. 28, Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Aug. 30 in the library's Multipurpose Room C.
Oates has 30 years of experience teaching writing, has published three books, and has had his
work appear in many magazines. He is the host of Wordland on WUGA 91.7 FM and received
his master's degree in creative writing from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
This workshop is sponsored by Reflecting, Sharing, Learning and is free to the public. However,
seating is limited, and registration is required. To sign up, call (706) 613-3650, ext. 343, or email
