Kick Off Adult Summer Reading Program at the ACC Library

Athens-Clarke County Library to Kick Off Adult Summer Reading Program

Why should the kids have all the fun? Come to May's Lunchtime Learning @ Your Library on Thursday, May 29, at 12:15 p.m. to celebrate the start of the 2014 Adult Summer Reading Program, "Literary Elements," at the Athens-Clarke County Library. Through books and programming, explore the thrill of science and literature all summer long.

The kickoff event will feature food, music, trivia with Eddie Whitlock and free giveaways in Multipurpose Room B. Patrons are invited to also stop by the reference desk or visit www.athenslibrary.org/athens for registration forms and information about the summer reading program.

All patrons who are at least 18 years old may participate in the adult program. Interested patrons must read at least three books or listen to three audiobooks between Thursday, May 29, and Wednesday, July 30. Adults can fill out a Literary Elements contest entry form for every three books completed and submit the form to designated Literary Elements locations in the library or online by 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, to participate in summer drawings.

This celebration is free and open to the public. For more information, please call the reference desk at (706) 613-3650, ext. 356. The Athens-Clarke County Library is located at 2025 Baxter Street, Athens.
