Water Safety Day!

As warmer weather approaches families are more likely to participate in water based activities, such as swimming. Because of this, National Water Safety Month, (May), is the perfect time to ensure your family is equipped with the necessary knowledge in order to have a fun, safe time in and around the pool.  

Georgia Aquatic Center in conjunction with Oconee Swim Academy are excited to announce their first ever Water Safety Day on Sunday, May 20^th from 2 pm to 5 pm.

This event is family friendly and FREE! Attendees can expect life jacket demonstrations, water safety skills assessments, a live CPR demonstration and practice rescue, as well as games, activities, goody bags, and a pool party.

In order to participate in the water safety skills assessment and ensure that you receive a goody bag we are asking those who plan to attend to RSVP via Facebook and email oconeeswimacademy@gmail.com with the subject line "Water Safety Day – Skills Assessment." In the body of the email include a list of participants you will be bringing along with you. If you do not have a Facebook profile you do not need to RSVP to the event page but, we do still need an email from you.
