Local Activist Mokah Johnson hosts Black Girls Reading

Avid Bookshop presents the third "Black Girls Reading: A Writing Workshop," hosted by Mokah-Jasmine Johnson, author of SPIRIT OF AN ACTIVIST: STOP SITTING ON THE SIDELINES. This event will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 11am to 1pm. The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge!

This writing workshop is for any girl that is a writer, wants to be a writer, or loves to read! At the event, we will highlight black female authors and creators, and attendees will be encouraged to start or continue their own pieces of writing. Local literary experts will be on hand to host and help out! This event is geared towards young women of color, but everyone is welcome!
