Helping teens prepare for the job market

Teen Services is partnering with local organizations to help teens prepare to enter the job market! We have three programs this month aimed at helping you make the best first impression and land that job:

Interview Prep 101
Tuesday, April 10, 4:15-6:15 p.m.

Stop by Teen Services to learn how to create an inviting resume, soft skills for job interviews, and the perfect way to introduce yourself at our upcoming job fair! This is event is directed by the Goodwill Career Center and is for teens who are about to enter the job market.

Teen Job Fair
Thursday, April 12, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

We've partnered with the Goodwill Career Center to bring potential employers to you! Join us for applications and even jobs on the spot! Be sure to dress professionally for a job interview, bring copies of your resume, a blue or black pen, and your ID! Geared towards ages 16-24. In Multipurpose Rooms A and B.

Teen Resume Workshop
Thursday, April 19, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Mr. Johnelle from the Athens Career Academy will teach you how to transform your resume into a powerful tool that will get you interviews! This workshop will lead teens through a self-assessment as well as teach the pros and cons of various resume formats. This program is only available for teens in grades 6-12. In Multipurpose Room B.
