North Oconee High Drama presents Footloose

North Oconee High School's Red Titan Playhouse presents Footloose!

When Ren McCormack and his mother Ethel move from Chicago to the small farming town of Bomont,  Ren is faced with a rough adjustment at his new high school. Making new friends proves difficult as he learns about the town's strict local laws, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher who is determined to exercise control over the town's youth that he cannot command in his own home. When the reverend's rebellious daughter Ariel sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend Chuck tries to sabotage Ren's reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. Ren is faced with an upward battle of tyring to create change and inspire the students of Bomont. This heartfelt story with its rockin' rhythm [and favorite songs!] celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind.
